Photovoltaic modules or photovoltaic panels are an interconnected assembly of photovoltaic cells. The cells use light energy (photons) from the sun to generate electricity through the photovoltaic effect. The modules can be used as a component of a larger photovoltaic system to generate and supply electricity in industrial and residential applications.
Active daylight systems
Active daylight systems are domes installed on a roof, that track, capture and drive natural sunlight indoors at such high light levels, that electric lights can be turned off. The systems bring cheaper, safer, usable daylight into warehouses, showrooms, retail stores, schools, manufacturing facilities and office buildings. In that way, the systems are realising major savings on energy bills, facilitating the achievement of energy efficiency targets and optimizing the supply of natural daylight.
LED lights, or light emitting diodes, are semiconductor light sources. LEDs are by far superior to traditional light sources such as light bulbs and fluorescent lamps, as they are using less energy, producing less heat, having longer life time and improved optical characteristics.
